The observatories, linked to the research units, serve as autonomous entities dedicated to investigating pressing societal issues.

Their teams critically engage with these focal areas, advancing scientific knowledge and facilitating its application in society. Additionally, they shape research methodologies, assess public policies, and offer analysis and consultancy services.
