AI4PA PORTUGAL DIH aims to support the digital transition of public administration, introducing Artificial Intelligence and other technologies (technically appropriate and socially responsible and oriented towards the common good) to increase the effectiveness of public policies, as well as empowering relevant stakeholders in central, regional and local public administration and SMEs that offer digital solutions suited to the needs of the State.

To support the digital transformation of national and European public administration by acting in six strategic areas:

1. Optimizing policies in the various areas of governance based on Artificial Intelligence and the promotion of innovative technological solutions;

2. Improving the quality of services with the involvement of citizens and businesses;

3. Assessing the social impacts and ethical implications of technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence;

4. Increasing the digital skills of public bodies and the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that provide them with services;

5. Disseminating best practices and reusable solutions of national and international origin;

6. Improving governance for digital transformation at the various levels of state intervention.
